What is a Yoga Retreat?
Well, the way I would like to put it, is that it’s a mini vacation where the focus is on self-growth. The intent of my yoga retreats is to help you take a break, in beautiful locations across India, at some carefully chosen resorts/boutique stays and while we’re there, learn to live our lives more mindfully. Don’t worry, I know that all work and no play makes Jack a dully boy. My yoga retreats ensure that wherever we are, we fully enjoy whatever the place has to offer- food, sights and experiences.
Why should you go on a Yoga Retreat?
Well, why do you go on a holiday? It’s so that you are able to relax and enjoy yourself for a few days right? But what’s the point if you return to the same life only to look forward to the next vacation? What if your “regular” life wasn’t that stressful? What if you could be happier and more relaxed on a day-to-day basis?
Well, that is what my yoga retreats offer. I intend to provide you a crash course of sorts on various techniques that’ll help you be more aware of your emotions which eventually helps you deal with them better. A lot of us might be going through a mid-life crisis (for lack of a better phrase), where we don’t have a purpose anymore or feel a lack of passion or don’t understand our role in this life here.
What are these techniques that I teach at the Yoga Retreat?
Any physical activity or mental stimulation helps release happy hormones and improve our state of well-being. My yoga retreats transform the ancient, somewhat daunting practices of Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation so that the modern-day individual finds them relevant. I do this in the most breathtaking natural environments that help you experience inner stillness, greater self-awareness, and a more balanced state of being. Through the tools I use, if practiced earnestly, and implemented diligently even after the retreat, you will slowly start finding the answer to your worries within yourself.
What if Yoga is “not your thing”?
- From beginners to experienced student or the ones who are completely uninitiated, you will enjoy the company of interesting people, who might share more in common with you than you know
- You will be surprised to know how often I hear this! And even more surprised to know how many of these people change their minds once they realize what Yoga actually is. Trust me it’s not just doing headstands and handstands and suryanamaskaras.

- Did I mention food? For many of you, a preconceived notion may be that you might have to eat boring, Yogic, Sattvik food while you’re at the retreat. I’m here to tell you, absolutely not! I did say I was a modern Yogi no? So yes, while the intention will be to eat healthy, it will definitely not be boring. My own love for food makes me ensure that you don’t miss any of the good stuff. Plus if you wish to take a break, you’re also free to try local cafes/restaurants etc during our excursions.
